Responsible Business

Responsible Business

At The Safe Woman, responsible business is not an add-on. It is part of how we work, how we teach and how we grow.

We provide practical, empowering safety education for women, helping individuals and organisations move beyond awareness and into real-world confidence, preparation and prevention. Our work supports employers, public bodies and community organisations to strengthen duty of care, improve workplace culture and take meaningful action before something goes wrong.

Ethical Delivery

The Safe Woman communicates clearly about what our training can and cannot do.

Our workshops are designed to educate, equip and empower. No safety training can eliminate risk or guarantee personal safety, but practical education can help women feel more prepared, more confident and better able to recognise and respond to risk.

We protect participant privacy, maintain professional boundaries and create respectful learning environments. Workshop participants are not required to share personal experiences, and we do not film or photograph participants without clear agreement.

Proof Points

The Safe Woman is proud to be building a trusted and credible women’s safety education business.

Our work and recognition include:

  • Winner of InCumbria Magazine’s Best New Business of the Year.
  • Winner of Elite Awards Carlisle Best Emerging Business.

Accessibility Statement

The Safe Woman is committed to making our website, workshops and resources as accessible, inclusive and user-friendly as reasonably possible.

Our workshops are designed for everyday women, in everyday situations. Participants do not need to be fit, strong, sporty or experienced to attend. We aim to create calm, respectful and supportive learning spaces for women of different ages, body types, confidence levels and physical abilities.

Where possible, we use clear language, practical resources and accessible formats. We also encourage participants and organisations to tell us about any accessibility needs in advance so that we can consider reasonable adjustments wherever practical.

When workshops are delivered at a client’s venue, the client is responsible for ensuring the venue is safe, suitable and accessible for attendees. We are happy to discuss venue suitability before a workshop takes place.

We welcome feedback and will continue to improve the accessibility of our website, resources and services as The Safe Woman grows.

Our Commitment

The Safe Woman is committed to growing responsibly, with care, clarity and purpose.

We aim to:

  • deliver practical, empowering safety education for women;
  • support organisations to strengthen duty of care;
  • create respectful and psychologically safe learning spaces;
  • protect participant privacy and dignity;
  • use digital resources wherever possible;
  • reduce unnecessary waste and travel;
  • review our policies, content and feedback as the business grows;
  • work with clients and partners who share our values.

Our full ESG strategy is available on request for corporate, public sector and procurement enquiries.
